Jorge Luis Salinas is a renowned Peruvian fashion designer celebrated for his ability to fuse Peru’s rich textile tradition with a modern and avant-garde perspective. His journey in fashion began in Gamarra, the largest clothing production hub in Latin America, where he developed a deep connection with the artisanal essence and entrepreneurial spirit of the place. Driven by passion and dedication to design, Jorge Luis Salinas decided to refine his academic talent abroad. He graduated from the prestigious Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science (now Thomas Jefferson University), where he acquired a strong foundation in fashion design, allowing him to consolidate both his technical and creative approach. In 1994, he founded Emporium, a brand that revolutionized the Peruvian market with an innovative proposal centered around denim—creating garments that reflect identity, authenticity, and style.
