CAMPILLO

Mexico

Patricio Campillo was born and raised in Mexico City. Surrounded by Mexico’s Charro culture and traditions, he developed a
deep admiration for craftsmanship and a special love for horses—elements that would later shape his brand’s identity.
He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and simultaneously pursued a Higher Degree in Communication and
Marketing for Luxury Markets. This academic foundation laid the groundwork for his entry into the fashion world, where he
initially began by writing reviews of fashion shows and collections. His interests soon evolved beyond critique, as he explored
styling, art direction, and communication strategy. In 2012, Patricio moved to Paris and worked as an assistant to fashion editor Tiffany Godoy, then Editor in Chief of The Reality Show Magazine, a French-Japanese publication known for its avant-garde approach to fashion and culture. Immersed in the creative pulse of Paris, Patricio began a self-taught journey in fashion design.
He launched his eponymous brand Campillo shortly thereafter, a project rooted in cultural authenticity, material research, and
design-driven storytelling. Over recent seasons, Patricio has established himself as a meticulous designer with a strong creative
voice, developing silhouettes that reinterpret Mexican craft through a lens of brutalist minimalism. His work features complex
tailoring, hand-embroidered silver-thread pieces, and original buttons carved from bone. Campillo has presented collections at New York Fashion Week, garnering critical acclaim for its originality and emotional depth. One reviewer noted, “Campillo doesn’t just reference heritage—he rebuilds it. His garments carry memory, but also urgency.Campillo is a luxury brand rooted in Mexican identity and committed to redefining heritage through contemporary design. Our mission is to elevate traditional craftsmanship into a new language of global luxury—one that is inclusive, gender-fluid, and socially conscious. Born from a deep connection to Charro culture and childhood memories, Campillo fuses ancestral techniques with brutalist minimalism to create garments and accessories that are emotionally resonant, architecturally precise, and culturally significant. We work hand-in-hand with Mexican artisans—embroiderers, bone carvers, and tailors—not to preserve tradition as static, but to evolve it into relevance. We design with intention, using only natural fibers and responsible materials like metal-free leather, recycled cotton, and hand-dyed linen. Our collections are produced on a small scale, training and employing workers from local family-run workshops to ensure quality and sustainability at every stage. Campillo is not just a fashion label—it is a system for transforming craft into couture, memory into modernity, and Mexican artistry into a luxury standard with global impact.
