Alexandre Birman, 46 years old, was born in Belo Horizonte (MG), and is CEO/CCO of Arezzo&Co, the largest fashion House of Brands in Brazil formed by the brands Arezzo, Schutz, Anacapri, Alexandre Birman, Fiever, Brizza, Alme, Reserva , My Shoes, Carol Bassi, Vans, Oficina Reserva, Reserva Go, Simples, Reversa, Reserva Ink, Reserva Mini, Unbrand, BAW Clothing, TROC, Vicenza and Paris Texas, in addition to the ZZMALL marketplace.

Since he was a little boy, Birman liked to play with shoe boxes and, at age 12, he designed his first model – a male shoe, a gift for his father, Anderson Birman, founder of Arezzo – marking the beginning of his career in the family business. At 16, he began to be trained to take over the succession and, at 18, he launched his first brand, Schutz.

In March 2013, aged 36, Alexandre took over as CEO of Arezzo&Co, replacing his father, Anderson Birman, who, at the time, chaired the company’s Board of Directors.

In 2020, he announced the structuring of AR&CO, one of the company’s lifestyle fronts, after the merger with Reserva. The new arm has Rony Meisler – founder of Reserva, as CEO. Alexandre also launched ZZMALL, a digital platform, which brings together the group’s brands, in addition to an incredible fashion curatorship. Also in 2020, he launched ZZ Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Arezzo&Co, responsible for investing in startups from different segments. TROC, a circular economy platform, was the first deal closed by ZZ Ventures.

In February 2023, Arezzo&Co completed 12 years of going public on the Brazilian Stock Exchange, currently B3, with an appreciation of 340% of shares during the period, according to the closing date of 01/26/2023.

Birman studied business administration and is a member of the Owners and President Management Program at Harvard Business School and a member of the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) since 2013. Alexandre is married, father, triathlete and shoemaker.

He received the Vivian Infantino Emerging Talent Award in 2009; was named “Top 10 Designer 2012” by Footwear News; was one of the names in the “Designer of The Year” by FFANY (Fashion Footwear Association of NY), in 2017, and was also featured in the “Executivos de Valor” awards, by Valor Econômico newspaper, and in the list of the 500 most influential people in Latin America, by Bloomberg Línea, in 2022.
