Based in São Paulo, Brazil, Vívian Sotocórno is the Fashion News Director at Vogue Brasil, with over 15 years of experience in the fashion industry, writing about fashion, jewelry, and business. Supporting young Brazilian fashion designers as a personal mission, Vívian has been involved in important projects to promote new talent, including the Sankofa Project (which brought eight Black designers to the São Paulo Fashion Week lineup in 2021, helping to build a more diverse and inclusive fashion industry) and Veste Rio New Talents by Vogue Brasil & Ela Magazine (which has discovered and supported more than 25 young Brazilian brands). At Vogue, she also co-created the “Diálogos” (Open Dialogues) section, a space for honest conversations between professionals from different generations of the fashion industry. Vívian joined Vogue in 2014, at the age of 26, following previous roles at Harper’s Bazaar Brazil and Daslu Magazine. With over a decade of experience covering international fashion weeks and shows across the globe, she is also a member of the CFDA Fashion Awards Guild. “Latin American fashion isn’t just about creativity.
