Dwarmis Concepción is a Dominican-born fashion designer based in New York City, shaping a new language of luxury that is soulful, bold, and rooted in identity. Raised in a home filled with art, textiles, and music, she was surrounded by creation from the beginning, her father ran a textile and denim business, and her mother’s effortless elegance became an early inspiration. She began her formal design education at Altos de Chavón School of Design in the Dominican Republic, a place that nurtured her creative instincts and laid the foundation for her career. Later, she earned a full scholarship to Parsons School of Design in New York, after receiving the prestigious Young Fashion Talent Award from Kimberly-Clark Kotex. There, she refined her craft and deepened her design vision. Dwarmis began her career at Michael Kors, then spent nearly a decade at Tory Burch, mastering the balance between creativity and commercial strategy. She later worked for Ulla Johnson and consulted for Rachel Comey before launching her own label, DWARMIS, in 2021. DWARMIS is a global brand rooted in American ideals and enriched by vibrant Latin heritage. Produced locally in New York City and often in collaboration with Latinx artisans, the brand is committed to sustainability, storytelling, and craftsmanship. Through timeless silhouettes, fluid draping, and intentional construction, DWARMIS creates fashion that speaks to women who lead multidimensional lives With each collection, Dwarmis shares more than clothing, she shares her journey as a Latina immigrant, a woman of color, and a designer building a vision on her own terms. Her work honors where she comes from, reflects where women are now, and reimagines what Latin excellence can look like in the global fashion landscape.
