Helena Gualinga is a Kichwa human rights and environmental defender from the Sarayaku Peoples in the Ecuadorian Amazon. A powerful voice for Indigenous rights and environmental justice, she co-founded Passu Creative, a collective of Indigenous storytellers, and works with a network of youth across the Amazon to defend their territories. Through advocacy, campaigning, media, film, and strategic engagement, Helena works to protect the rainforest and amplify.Indigenous voices. In addition to her activism, she is currently pursuing her undergraduate studies at Yale University.
