ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
In order to be considered for the Latin American Fashion Awards, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be owner/director of the project, foundation and/or company.
- Project must be based in Latin America and/or support local communities/ecosystems.
- Project must be an active business for at least 2 years.
- Project must be built around the 3 Pillars of Sustainability: Social Progress, Economic Growth and Environmental Sustainability.
- Project must provide positive proof of impact and sustainable progress on their communities/ecosystems.
- Project must prove recognition from local and/or international media.
ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
Applications will be reviewed under the following criteria:
- Creative merit: Impactful innovation, point of distinctiveness, social/environmental responsibility and accountability for their actions.
- Demonstration of resilience, creativity, and intention to evolve and respond to change.
- Contribution to the growth of the Latin American social, environmental and economic ecosystems, ie. heritage preservation, production, distribution, job creation, raw materials.
- Degree of regional and international media presence and recognition.
- Environmental care and responsible social and economic practices must be the focal point of every stage of the project: materials, production, distribution and promotion.
- Project should consider: circular economy; fair trade and employment practices; recycling and repurposing; traceability and transparency on every stage of the process; having a positive impact on local communities and their environment.
- Quality and completion of application form.
- Project must comply with at least three of the UN SDGs (17 Sustainable Development Goals). (LEARN MORE)
- Projects must prove Sustainability and Ethic Certificates.
