La Petite Mort was founded in 2018 in Medellín, Colombia, by Jonathan Cortez and Andrés Durán, inspired by their fascination with the rediscovery of Latin American tailoring and driven by their desire to build a team of master tailors and seamstresses.
Andrés and Jonathan share a deep passion for storytelling through clothing: each piece reflects their roots and serves as an extension of lived experiences, memories, and conversations that have emerged during their travels throughout the region.
Both strongly believe in the power of fashion as a social and cultural phenomenon.
