From an early age, Yoanny García (YG) has had a fondness for art and creating new things. She has a degree in Business Administration and International Management from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and later specialized in International Management at IE Business School in Madrid.

After strengthening her studies in the understanding of a business and the administration that it implies, Yoanny García entered the world of design through the big door in one of the best places to do it, in the Altos de Chavón School of Design affiliated with Parsons The New School for Design, where she perfected her drawing technique and took several courses. Her preparation has given her the merit and skills necessary to carry out each of her wonderful designs. She launched her brand in 2014, with her first collection “Let’s Play”.

YG is characterized by its unique handmade bags, with a fusion of materials and innovative colors with undisputed references to pop culture: vibrant colors, bright materials, and geometric shapes, which combine elegance and fun. Its designs are aimed for all women with unique personalities, be it: design lovers, art collectors, sophisticated and avant-garde, etc.

Through her brand, the designer is focused on offering a different product, an accessory that complements the identity of those who carry these small jewels in their hands, as she considers the bag to be the most personal accessory of a woman, small pieces of art.

The designer, Yoanny García, is proud to be a global brand, showcasing “Made in DR” to the world, creating trends, and being a reference in the fashion industry.
