ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

In order to be considered for the Latin American Fashion Awards, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Film must be Directed and/or Produced by Latin American Talent.
  2. Film must be 30 seconds to 15 minutes long, including opening and closing credits.
  3. Film must be produced in the last 24 months.
  4. Film must have a high level of production (Script, Cinematography, Art Direction, Set Design) and a strong directorial style. 
  5. Film must have a strong message and celebrate and showcase Fashion at its best. 
  6. Film must be consistent with our values: it must not feature sexualised or inappropriate content or manners including aggression against minorities, depiction of violence, nudity, strong language or substance abuse. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

Applications will be reviewed under the following criteria:

  1. Alignment with Latin American Fashion Awards core values: Diversity, Inclusion, Environment, People, Community & Craftsmanship. 
  2. Fashion Films shot in Latin American territory will be recognized. 
  3. Fashion Films which enhance and promote Latin American Fashion are to be celebrated. 
  4. Creative merit: The Fashion Film will be recognized for its artistic innovation and aesthetic/visual value linked to Fashion and Beauty.
  5. Nurture the development of the Latin American film industry. 
  6. Innovative use of technology, techniques and narrative story-telling will be recognized.
  7. Degree of regional and international media presence and recognition.
  8. Quality and completion of application form.

*Both Independent and Commissioned Projects are eligible for the Award.
